    当教师关注他们的课堂时,我们从学生那里收到了不同的口头和非口头信息。 有些学生传达的信息是课程材料会激发他们的灵感,而另一些学生则表示他们不感兴趣、困惑、好奇或无聊。 实际上,课堂上的每个学生都在发送一条消息,不管他们是否打算发消息。 但是教师很容易误解这种沟通。 看起来很感兴趣的学生实际上可能是为了让老师喜欢他而伪造的。

    这种情况说明了沟通的两个关键方面:

    • 不沟通是不可能的
    • 完美的沟通是不可能的

    不沟通是不可能的我们不断向周围的人发送 “消息”。 这些消息可能是故意的,也可能是无意的。 我们的发型、我们驾驶的汽车、非自愿的面部表情,甚至诸如迟到开会之类的动作都是沟通信息的例子。 在面对面的课堂上,我会让一个学生站在全班面前,尽量与全班沟通。 大约 5 秒钟后,我会问全班他们有没有收到任何消息。 然后我会听到诸如 “他很紧张” 或 “他想忽略我们” 之类的答案。 无论是否有意,学生都忍不住发了一条消息。

    完美的沟通是不可能的。 沟通者之间的差异越大,沟通不畅的可能性就越大。 这种差异可能来自他们的年龄、性别、文化、教育、宗教等等。 多年前,当我和妻子第一次开始约会时,我们的经历有很多差异。 现在,我们在一起已有40多年,有许多共同的经历,我们的沟通更加有效。 我们可以把对方的句子说完。 我们彼此之间的理解要好得多,但我们的沟通仍然不完美。

    因此,请记住,完美的沟通是不可能的。 理查德·沃克曼在他的《信息焦虑》(Wurman,2000 年)一书中写道,

    “我们受到一种语言的限制,在这种语言中,单词对一个人来说可能意味着一件事,而对另一个人来说可能意味着另一回事。 没有既定的正确沟通方式。 至少从绝对意义上讲,与他人分享我们的想法是不可能的,因为他们不会以完全相同的方式被理解。” 1

    传播专家约瑟夫·德维托进一步解释了这一沟通挑战,他说:

    “当一个人(或多人)发送和接收的信息被噪音扭曲,发生在环境中,产生一定影响,并提供一些反馈机会时,就会发生沟通。” 2(DeVito,2018 年)
