- 公司的愿景和使命有什么区别？
在建立成功的战略地位的过程中，第一步应该是公司成立本身的一部分。 当企业家决定创业时，他们通常有创业的理由，这个理由可以回答 “这家企业的意义何在？” 即使企业家最初想创业是为了成为自己的老板，他们也必须对自己的企业会做什么有所了解。 总体而言，企业家创业的原因有很多。 愿景声明表达了企业创始人希望该企业实现的目标。 愿景陈述通常非常广泛，甚至不必提及产品或服务。 愿景陈述并未描述公司为实现其愿景而将采用的策略，而只是一两句话说明了企业存在的原因。

附录9.4举例说明了沃尔特·迪斯尼公司和宜家的愿景和使命宣言。 请注意，在这两种情况下，愿景陈述都非常宽泛，不是企业可以用作战略的东西，因为根本没有足够的信息来展示他们可能是什么样的业务。 另一方面，使命宣言描述了每家公司计划提供的产品和服务，以及每家公司为实现其愿景而计划服务的客户。

关于愿景和使命陈述，值得注意的一点是，许多公司都混淆了它们，将非常宽泛的声明称为他们的使命。 例如，微软表示，其使命是 “帮助世界各地的人们充分发挥潜力”。 4 根据上面的描述，这将是一个很好的愿景陈述。 但是，微软的官方愿景声明是 “随时随地在任何设备上使用优秀的软件为人们提供支持”。 5 尽管第二项陈述也相当宽泛，但它确实说明了微软希望如何实现第一项陈述，这使其成为比愿景宣言更好的使命宣言。
为什么愿景和使命陈述对公司发展竞争优势的战略很重要？ 简而言之，除非你知道自己想要完成什么，否则你无法制定计划或策略。 愿景和使命陈述共同构成了定义公司存在原因和制定计划以完成公司想要实现的目标的第一个基石。
