    导言

    可持续发展,从科学到哲学再到生活方式,体现在我们塑造城市的方式中。 城市不仅仅是建筑物的集合,而是生活在一起生活不同生活方式的人群。 当我们问一种生活方式是否可持续时,我们是在问它能否持续下去。 一些考古学家认为,环境失衡注定了许多失败的古代文明。 可持续城市会是什么样子,它将如何运作,我们怎样才能避免导致物质文明崩溃的不平衡? 在设想 “可持续城市” 的同时,我们必须辨别哪些因素会影响其未来的形态和形式。

     

    那么,设计/更新 “可持续城市” 的主要障碍是什么?

    蔓延:人口向外扩张(通常是低密度住宅和商业开发项目)向城市/城镇的边缘扩张。

    随着蔓延的扩大,它在自然和农业用地上吃东西,隔离人们。 人们必须走得越来越远才能去工作、去杂货店、医院等等。 这意味着城市/城镇必须找到解决方案,将水、废物、电力、服务、道路开发/维护等运送到这些社区。 因此,由于经济限制,双方都存在长期存在的蔓延问题,这使得机遇和进步变得困难。

    请务必注意,蔓延可能发生在不同的规模:

    • 低密度扩张:高密度的 1-2 层小型建筑。 低密度扩张可以通过收入来进一步区分,因为社区往往因此而受到隔离。 (例如:北美)
    • 高密度扩张:高密度的高层建筑(例如:中国)

    那么,可以做些什么来设计/更新并向 “可持续城市” 迈进?

    • 混合用途开发:出租住宅、商业、文化、机构或工业用途,这些功能在物理和功能上融为一体,并提供行人通道。 让城市变得适于步行!
    • 地域公平:由人员流动比率定义的流通体系。 这意味着更多的自行车、步行、公共交通工具(多种形式),而不是汽车。 街道公平!
    • 保护:尽可能保护土地、文化和生物多样性。
    • 合:尽可能混合收入、文化、绿地、公共交通选择等。 允许人们建立联系并成为邻居而不是陌生人。
    • 重点:匹配社区密度以满足交通/服务需求。
