    Figure D1 Le nombre de votes du collège électoral accordés à chaque État est égal au nombre total de représentants et de sénateurs que cet État a au Congrès américain ou, dans le cas de Washington, DC, autant d'électeurs qu'il en aurait eu s'il s'agissait d'un État. Le nombre de représentants peut fluctuer en fonction de la population de l'État, qui est déterminée tous les dix ans par le recensement américain, prescrit par l'article I, section 2 de la Constitution. Le dernier recensement a été réalisé en 2020.
