G. 雇主必须确保：
- 扶手、楼梯栏杆系统和护栏系统根据 § 1910.28 提供；
- 从踏板前缘测量，任何楼梯踏板上方与任何头顶障碍物的垂直间隙至少为 6 英尺 8 英寸（203 厘米）。 螺旋楼梯必须符合本节第 (d) (3) 段中的垂直间隙要求。
- 楼梯的立管高度和着陆点之间的踏板深度均匀；
- 根据行进方向测量，楼梯着陆点和平台至少等于楼梯的宽度，深度至少为30英寸（76厘米）；
- 当门或大门直接在楼梯上打开时，会提供一个平台，门或大门的摆动不会将平台的有效可用深度降低为：
- 对于在 2017 年 1 月 17 日之前安装的平台，小于 20 英寸（51 厘米）；以及
- 对于在 2017 年 1 月 17 日当天或之后安装的平台，小于 22 英寸（56 厘米）（参见本节图 D-7）；
- 每个楼梯可以承受至少五倍于正常预期活载荷的五倍，但不得少于在任何时候施加的1,000磅（454千克）的集中负荷；
- 标准楼梯用于在操作需要定期和例行地在各层之间行驶（包括进入设备操作平台）时，提供从一个步行工作台到另一个工作台的通道。 当储罐或结构的直径至少为 5 英尺（1.5 m）时，可以在储罐和类似的圆形结构上使用蜿蜒的楼梯。
装卸板
雇主必须确保：
- 根据 § 1910.22 (b)，Dockboards 能够承受最大预期负载；
- 2017 年 1 月 17 日当天或之后投入使用的 Dockboards 经过设计、建造和维护，以防止转运车辆从船坞边缘行驶；
- 便携式装卸板是通过将其固定到位或使用防止底板移出安全位置的设备或设备来保护的。
- 诸如车轮挡块或沙鞋之类的措施用于防止装有船坞的运输车辆（例如卡车、半挂车、拖车或轨道车辆）在员工在装卸板上时移动；以及
- 便携式装卸板配有手柄或其他装置，可以安全操作装卸装载板。
绳索下降系统
在使用任何绳索下降系统之前，建筑物所有者必须以书面形式告知雇主，建筑物所有者已经识别、测试、认证和维护了每个锚固，因此每位附着的员工能够在任何方向上承受至少 5,000 磅（2,268 千克）的重量。 该信息必须基于合格人员的年度检查和合格人员在必要时对每个锚地的认证，至少每10年一次。
对于高于地面300英尺（91米）的高度，不使用绳索下降系统，除非雇主证明通过任何其他方式进入这些高度不可行，或者这些方式比使用绳索下降系统构成的危险更大；
绳索下降系统的使用遵循制造商设定的指示、警告和设计限制，或在合格人员的指导下使用；
每位使用绳索下降系统的员工都要根据 § 1910.30 接受培训；
在每个工作班次开始时，都会对绳索下降系统进行检查。 雇主必须确保立即停止使用损坏或有缺陷的设备并进行更换。
当出现暴风雨、阵风或过大风等恶劣天气条件时，任何员工都不使用绳索下降系统；
工具、刮刀或水桶等设备由工具挂绳或类似方法固定，以防止其掉落；以及
每个绳索下降系统的绳索都受到保护，免受明火、高温作业、腐蚀性化学物质和其他破坏性条件的影响。
训练
在任何员工面临坠落危险之前，雇主必须为每位使用个人坠落防护系统或需要按照本子部分其他部分的规定接受培训的员工提供培训。 雇主必须确保在 2017 年 5 月 17 日当天或之前对员工进行有关本段要求的培训。
雇主必须确保每位雇员都经过合格人员的培训。
雇主必须对每位员工进行至少以下主题的培训：
- 工作区域跌倒危险的性质以及如何识别它们；
- 为尽量减少这些危害而应遵循的程序；
- 安装、检查、操作、维护和拆卸员工使用的个人坠落防护系统的正确程序；以及
- 正确使用本节第 (a) (1) 段中规定的个人坠落防护系统和设备，包括但不限于制造商规定的正确的连接、锚固和系带技术，以及设备检查和存放方法。
- 设备危险。 雇主必须在 2017 年 5 月 17 日当天或之前对每位员工进行培训，让他们正确保养、检查、存放和使用本分节所涵盖的设备，然后才能使用设备。
