A Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) busca promover saúde e segurança para a humanidade, especialmente para os mais vulneráveis. O que isso significa é que eles fazem de tudo, desde cuidados primários básicos até pesquisas, inventário de dados, educação em saúde e muitas outras iniciativas imperativas de saúde em todo o mundo. Quando se trata de dados, eles mantêm registros atualizados de doenças crônicas e agudas, especialmente aquelas que podem causar emergências de saúde global/locais. Geralmente, a OMS monitora o número de casos (taxas de infecção) e fatalidades de cada doença. No entanto, existem muitas outras estatísticas que eles podem analisar, dependendo do nível de precisão e dos detalhes dos dados que recebem. Eles também podem dividir ou agrupar suas estatísticas por país ou continente (como você vê abaixo). Além disso, a OMS pode ser um ótimo banco de dados para pesquisadores de todo o mundo.
