La thèse est-elle claire, précise et ciblée ? Cela nous indique-t-il ce qui est important ou intéressant dans la tentative de l'argument de nous convaincre et/ou de donner une raison centrale de son succès ou de son échec ?

L'essai articule-t-il les principales affirmations, les raisons et toutes les hypothèses importantes de l'argument, qu'elles soient implicites ou explicites ?

L'essai identifie-t-il de manière convaincante au moins deux stratégies importantes que l'argument utilise pour établir la crédibilité et la confiance ou influencer les émotions du lecteur ?

L'essai évalue-t-il l'efficacité des stratégies et identifie-t-il les pièges potentiels ou les manières dont les stratégies pourraient se retourner contre elles ?

Chaque paragraphe contient-il suffisamment de citations ou de paraphrases d'exemples spécifiques ?

Est-ce qu'il introduit des citations et des paraphrases des phrases indicatives qui nous montrent avec précision le but de l'argument ?

La conclusion offre-t-elle une évaluation finale de l'argument et de sa signification, de sa valeur ou de ses implications ?

L'essai montre-t-il clairement comment un paragraphe est lié au suivant et revient à la thèse ?
